Albert Martinez attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA and a master of science in environmental engineering. Before his time in Stillwater, OK, he studied civil engineering as an undergraduate at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. While a student working toward his engineering degree, he competed on the university’s wrestling team. Albert Martinez also wrestled during his time as a general engineering student at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

From 2013 to 2017, Albert Martinez worked as a lead environmental engineer at Holly Frontier Refining in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As the company’s water resources and corrective action manager, he supervised all permitting and compliance activities for a petroleum refinery producing 52,000 barrels per day. He oversaw compliance across numerous regulatory bodies, including the Department of Environmental Quality, the Bureau of Public Utilities, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Since 2018, Albert Martinez has served the City of Greeley in Colorado as a construction inspection manager tasked with the coordination and management of all civil engineering activities. He leads the city’s construction services program, which involves the planning, bidding, and management of all streets, water, and sewage construction projects, among many related responsibilities. His achievements include developing a highly effective municipal government development unit.
